NIPHLE’s 2016 Training Week kicked-off with a charity golf tournament at Woodlands Golf Course outside of Baltimore, MD. The tournament raised $5,000 for the Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA). The SMGA’s mission is to provide rehabilitative golf programs, experiences, and family inclusive golf opportunities for post 9/11 wounded war veterans in an effort to improve the quality of life for these American heroes. Eligible veterans and service members include those wounded or injured in post 9/11 military operations, including those with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). A group of SMGA golfers earned second place in the tournament and received T-Balance Putters as prizes.

NIPHLE presented the check to Jina Myers, SMGA Marketing Manager, and Capt. Matt Anderson, US Army and SMGA Spokesperson, at the NIPHLE awards banquet held at the Sonesta Inner Harbor Hotel, Baltimore, MD. Since 2012, NIPHLE has donated over $25,000 to charities that benefit wounded veterans.
